Iceland is a unique country in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

It’s part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge that separates the Eurasian from the North American tectonic plates

We will travel to the north of the island, to the Troll peninsula “Tröllaskagi” very close to the small town of Akureyri, to enjoy six full days of mountain climbing

You don’t need to have experience mountaineering because ascents are made on foot. If we encounter packed snow, we will use crampons to make our progress safer and more comfortable.
To do this activity, you should be used to mountain hiking and doing slopes of up to 1,200 meters at an easy pace.

We will stay in cabin/apartment fully equipped with heating, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom.

Flight. Possibility of arrangement

Day 1: Flight to Iceland. Transfer to the north of the island. Accommodations in Sjlufjördur/Ólafsjördur/Dalvik. Private transport. Transfer takes 56 hours depending on the weather. Possibility of domestic flight between Reykjavik and Akureyri (ask) and subsequent transfer to our accommodations (4050 minutes).
Day 2: Hédinsfjördur-Vatnsendahnjúkur fjord (920 m) – Hédinsfjördur fjord 920 m elevation change. We can extend the day for those who want to by joining two fjords. 680 m elevation change.
Day 3: Rimar (1,282 m). 1,284 m elevation change.
Day 4: North coast of Siglufjördur. 800 m elevation change.
Day 5: Godafoss Waterfall. Jokulsargljufur National Park. Lake Myvatn. Hot springs. We will end the day with an amazing bath in hot springs. Vindbelgjarfjall volcano tour. Distance: 5 km. 270 m elevation change. Time. 12 hours.
Day 6: Plan depending on weather conditions and physical condition of the participants. We always like to explore and leave a day open to climb a new mountain or hike up a worthwhile hill. We have several options and we want you to join us.
Day 7: Karlsárfjall (988 m). 1,000 m elevation change.
In the afternoon, transfer to Reykjavík/Keflavík, dinner in the city, and accommodations near the airport In case the weather of this last day is bad, we’ll travel in the morning to Reykjavík, arriving at noon and spending a few hours in the city.
Day 8: Return flight.

Iceland is undoubtedly a unique country sitting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and that’s because it’s part of the ocean ridge that separates the Eurasian from the American tectonic plate.
Its volcanic genesis and its position in the north, bordering the Arctic Circle, makes it unique geologically, geographically, and in its climate.
We will travel to the north of the island, to the Troll peninsula “Tröllaskagi” very close to the small town of Akureyri, to enjoy six full days of mountain climbing. From the summits surrounded by fjords we will descend to the
seashore to end the day enjoying relaxing baths in hot springs made by the island’s geothermal activity.
In addition, we will visit the Godafoss Waterfall, Lake Myvatn area, the Námafjall Geothermal Area, and the Krafla volcanic region.
